Computer peeplez help me.
Ok, when I'm using Guitar Rig as a DXI plug-in in Sonar to record some instruments I constantly get dropouts.
Dropouts are basically an emergency stop button that turns itself on when your computer runs out of resources. For some reason the little CPU% indicator at the bottom of the program is pegged at 100%.
The minimum requirements for the program are 700mhz processor and 128mb of ram. I have a 2.4GHz processor and 480mb of ram currently.
I was wondering if there is any way to free up some memory on my computer or do I have to get new ram or something?

What else are you running when this happens?

Secondly look at your swap file and increase it or let windows deal with it.
Make sure there are no other programs running. Scan for spyware ect. More ram would help but something may be sapping resources
Check the task manager, organize by amount of memory used.
See what resource hog's you can eliminate.
Mabye run Adaware, or a like program. Remove all those taskbar programs you can, keep them from loading when windows starts.
start -> run:
regedit: hkeylocalmachine\software\microsoft\windows\curren tversion\run
msconfig: - Startup tab
Delete all you can out of there. Re-start and tell me what happens.

Sonar 4 to record, Guitar Rig 2 as a DXI plug-in, and AIM.
I have 512, but only have 480 available.
I'm getting the same thing. I raised the I/O buffer from 128 to 480 and it's helping, I'm still getting a dropout but before it would happen after like 3 seconds of playback, now it's happening about 30 seconds into a playback.
It says it's my M-Audio soundcard.
