why are we lazy?

why are we lazy?
this has always bugged me why many europeans see us americans as lazy?
when they are the ones who are guarenteed by law a minimum of 4 weeks paid vacation a year
a rest break if the work day is longer than 6 hours
a minimum 11 hour break in a 24 hour period
and a required one day a week off
seems to me they have made lazy part of the job requirements
not to mention they cant work more than 60 hrs a week
most people iknow work 7 days a week, 12 hour shifts...and dont take any vacations
we must really be lzy

no i just find it annoying that they choose to call a country as awhole lazy, when they themselves find ways to take more vacations and work less.
granted there is a largely lazy element to our country, but i would say the majority isnt as lazy as the rest of the world believes us to be.
