I think he enjoys getting wet (which Pete mentioned) - but its a good idea, I really really hope he doesn't shit in it because floating shit is nasty.

actually they dont, rubbing there nose in it is not only the dumbest thing I have ever heard of, it also doesnt work. You have to catch them in the act. They dont know why you are grabbing their head and forcing it anywhere. Its a good way to make your dog either afraid of your hand near their head, or a good way to turn your dog against you for forcing it to do something it doesnt want to do.

not really, unless they're rolling in something to make themselves stinky. both of my cats haven't had baths in months. they're both scentless. they self-cleanse you know.
however, you're right in that it's no reason not to ever give them a bath. i remember a certain incident with one of my cats (while still a kitten), and a lot of bacon grease. he was unlucky enough to get two baths for his mischievousness.

All I know is both Bigfoot and his successor, Epsilon would get a little rank after about two months... and our house is nothing if not clean.
