Researchers study the science of kissing

LONDON, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Researchers in Britain have studied how people kiss, relying on hundreds of volunteers to figure out how kissing reveals personality traits.

The Independent reported researchers concluded that people who lean to the left while kissing tend to be people who are emotionally less available then those who lean to the right. About 80 percent of men and women observed turned their heads to the right during a kiss.

One theory is that people who turn their heads to the right are revealing their left cheek, which is controlled by the right cerebral hemisphere, which is more emotive, said Dr. Julian Greenwood of Stranmillis University College, Belfast.

This latest research is slated to be published next month in the scientific journal Laterality.
