I've switched!!!

I have finally made the switch!!

To diet green tea from Turkey Hill. The regular green tea was loaded with high fructose corn syrup - which isn't healthy at all in large amounts (drinking close to a gallon a day). The diet is of course lacking in the HFC syrup so now I'm getting all the good properties of green tea, but w/o the additive of death.

And what do you suppose they sweeten the diet with? Sunshine dust?

I use pure honey. :)

Ingredients (in order) are:

Water, honey, green tea, black tea, citric acid, aspartame, natural flavors, ginseng extract, potassium sorbate & sodium benzoate, Phenylketonurics: contains phenylalanine.

Regular green tea I used to drink by the gallon contains:
Water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, honey, green tea, black tea, citric acid, natural flavors, ginseng extract, potassium sorbate & sodium benzoate.

95SiR Oct 4, 2006 08:20 AM

buy green tea packets from a japanese market. boil some water, and dunk the tea bag in.

or

buy the green tea leaves... they have kettles that have built-in filter-things that you put the greentea in.

:werd: or any asian market. a lot of american supermarkets are starting to carry asian tea. it's cheaper, healthier, no chemicals whatsoever. sweeten it yourself, if you want. but it's hard to find really good green tea. the whole concept of "diet" tea always made me :chuckles:
