The Alpine R's are better than those pioneers by far, and much better than the regular Alpines.

They don't give the whole spec sheet on them, so how can you tell? There's a lot of information that is missing that gives insight as to speaker performance.

I've listened to all three, the R's win hands down. That is, if you use an amp. If not, then go with the S's at least.

You should buy my R's. I took them out of the Civic.

I have a pair of R Components and a pair of R coaxials.
