Satellite question
anybody know anything about using satellites as oppose to cable lines or telephone lines for dealing with online transactions.
reason for asking is that the telehone lines for the pharmacy i'm opening up is all messed up and cox/bellsouth are taking their time fixing it. I want to open up as soon as I can, but without regular phone lines I can't do online transactions for pharmacy claims. I'm just wondering if satellite can be as effective in doing this type of job??

so the verdict is, it is not feasible?
I got katrina to thank for all this bs
I don't want to have it set-up where sometimes it is working good and sometimes it goes down. I'll lose a lot of customer if that was the case.

I had satellite internet before DSL became available. At first you could only download with the satellite and upload with a dialup but somewhere around 2002 they started offering 2 way satellite downloads. It was much better but no where near the speed and quality of DSL/Cable plus it's expensive too boot.
