Be warned that there are lots of people like you, that want to move to CA and further their career. There are TONS of people that will apply for the same jobs. When you say money isn't a big deal to live somewhere nice, you should see what it's gonna cost to live somewhere nice.

I am not moving out blindly. If I cannot find a job before I go out there, I won't go out there. I cannot afford to just move to a new place blindly. I will have a plan in place.

Check out linkedin.com, it's sorta like myspace for "professionals."

i live a few blocks away from the 2nd st area he's talking about and it's a pretty decent area. 1 bedroom apartments range around $800-$1200/mo. about 1mi from the ocean and 2 miles from the 405fwy, then about 2 miles north of the 605fwy and 4 miles south of the 710fwy so lots of fwy access. the area i live in is also only a few miles north of huntington beach down PCH which is a great place to party.

there isnt really a "city" area like your use to down here. downtown la would be pretty much about it. we have big city's but they wouldnt be what your use to. but if you did want a big area you want to look at pasadena, hollywood downtown la.
