I was heading to Quebec City and I found his perfect hotel for a great price but didnt reserve it right away because I didnt have a card to put it on at the time.

Now its booked for the two possible days I needed it. Ugh...




Do they charge you right away or see if funds are available when they take a reservation?

 

they charge you when you check in or check out. the card is just so they can hold the room for you.

 

Yea I figured that out.

I got a difference place... maybe better... we'll see.

 

Only if you guarantee the room and then they don't take the funds until you are a no show, or don't call and cancel the reservation.

BTW I used to be a department head in the Hotel industry.

I was looking at the Dominion 1912 in Quebec City. I opted for Le Concorde instead. Probably worked out better anyhow.


I stay up in Ahuntsic when I visit montreal... still have an apartment there. Its kinda far but worth it when free.

 

i work at la tour Bell on Jean-talon... it's not that far from downtown dude.

 

It depends....some places charge you a deposit...the hotel I stayed at in Ocean City charged me a 1 night deposit to book it
