Default Subwoofer Change

I used my old old subwoofer with a new amp and box and everything, so my sub blew. I was wondering if i could simply remove the old subwoofer and plug the new one right into the back of the box...
this would work right?
anything i need to watch out for?

You blew it? Uh I'm kinda doubting that... Its pretty hard to blow subs. Mine lasted about 45 seconds plugged into the wall.

But yes, a sub is not made for just one box. As long as they are the same size, you just just put it into the old box.

it will depend on the box type, and how much cubic air is in the box and what the new sub has to have

Go to the sub and try pushing in on the cone lightly. if it moves its not blown. if you can't push it at all, then its blown. If it smells really bad its blown, if it doesn't probably not. When I blew mine some smoke came out and it smelt like burnt rubber. When I took it out of the box there was alot of smoke in it.
