I spent 7 hours on a coal train from Beijing to Chengde, oh god it was the worst thing thats ever happened to me.

Here's something i didnt know: for an extra 3USD, you can get the "soft seats". This is what the Chinese call the nice train with enough seats for everyone, no fist fights, a bathroom (of sorts) and people dont just piss on the floor. I really wish i had known that when i went, on the way back i got the soft seats.

They call trains "fire cars" there, but it doesnt matter, cuz its a totaly myth that some people speak English most everywhere. They dont. Good luck. PM or email if you got any ?s i just got back from Beijing.
