Calling all computer guru's
So I have my USB Flash drive in my computer right now and I moved some stuff off it, and also deleted that stuff from the drive. Now when I am trying to eject it from my system it says that it is in use when I have NOTHING open except FF. I hate when it says that something is in use by the drive...TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IT IS USING THEN I CAN TURN IT OFF!!!!
Is there a way to do figure out what the hell it is using? |

there should be a icon on your task bar where your time, is i dont know how to discribe it. but there should be a icon that you can click on, that lets you stop the process of your usb flash so you can remove it. if i had my lap top i would give you a screen shot.

^^ That is what I also use to "stop" the flash drive. And it too was saying that it was currently in use. I just wish it told you what was being used.
update, the drive is out, restarted windows. |
or you could just pull it out :hsdunno:

^^ That's how I fried my last one. It became so corrupt that reformatting didn't even save it

theres a program called unlocker.... which tells you if a file/folder/drive is in use by a process.... its useful when you are trying to delete something and fucking windows says the file is in use and cannot be deleted.
you just right click on the file/folder/drive... select Unlocker http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/ |
Yeah, Windows doesn't like to give up flash drives and shit. Just yank and pray.

Just hit F5 a couple of time and re-click the the eject thing again, happens to me a lot and that seem to solve it. Its probably still trying to access the drive that why it won't eject, F5 just refresh it.
Hope that helps |
