I hate uniforms and dress codes. I just flat out hate being told what to wear.

you'd rather go to school in grungy clothes because your parents can't afford new ones and be around rich kids whose parents buy them the latest styles than wear what everyone else wears?

your parents have to pay for the uniforms anyway, might as well buy your own clothes. And I never cared about the "latest styles"....I don't even remember that being and issue in elementary school.

i remember it being an issue in elementary school and high school. and if a kid is poor, he'd probably get help with buying the uniform. i think you're missing the point.
