just because t-mobile is good in your area doesn't mean it is the best for all areas. t-mobile sucks in a majority of norcal. Are you out of your contract for sure?

Agreed...I got a cell phone as soon as i was 18..T-mobile no deposit no nothing....They had good service in my area...but then i moved and i have nothing..If you actually look on their map and type in zip code 46574...you will see a big spot of nothing...I would have cancelled but Verizon wants a $350 deposit and Cingular wants $300 so im sayin "f" that...I had Sprint and they are even worse than T-mobile.

After your edit: What do you mean "ported your number" over to Cingular?

Umm, not exactly. When you take your number to another carrier, they automatically cancel your account with the other carrier.

Well, like I said that didn't happen for me. I ported my number from T-Mobile to Cingular, called T-mobile a week later and they said my account was still there so I cancelled it myself.

When my brother and mom went from Cingular to Verizon, they try to charge for the full month. Of course I called and bitched. They "did me a favor" and prorated it for the month.

I find that you can get out of a lot of things by talking to the CSR. Including getting out of contracts without paying fees.
