I had a 2002 SVT. It had its issues (clunky shifter, noisy at high speeds, etc) but I loved it anyway. I sold it this summer since I no longer needed a car in the city. For the record when I purchased it (11/2002) it was the best deal on the road. It was between this and the 2002 SI and I just didn't like the SI.

A lot of the articles I've read that mention that car generally have somewhat nice things to say. You should search for the... Cosworth Focus I think. I read an article about a pretty crazy Focus not too long ago.
