Golf Crew: What's in your bag?

i bought a full set of used clubs about 10 years ago for 45 bucks... included shoes and a bag too  Im a lefty so it was pretty hard to find anything.... i dont know what brand my clubs are but they are endorsed by J.E. Snead :chuckles: not sure what calibur of golfer he is but i do know he's about 90... i bought them just to see if i liked golfing or not...

anyway i never really played much before but my interest is growing and ive been kicking around the idea of buying some new (or used but in good shape) clubs, cant be anything too expensive but i dont want anything too cheap, either. kinda interested in knowing what kinda clubs you guys use and what you like or dont like about em....

Nice ass Nike golf bag with $80 EBay Jack Nichlaus Golden Bear AV61 clubs. The bag is worth more than the clubs I think. I really like them though, the irons are all very nicely weighted and have a big face (I'm a beginner). The driver is really hard to control (too big for my skill level I reckon) so I mainly use my 3 wood when driving. And a nice 60 deg sand wedge that Keith 'borrowed' from a member who left it at Drumlins :chuckles:

You need to meet up with me and Keith for some galf!

i have had many sets. my favorite was the callways, they make a good set of clubs but they are expensive. tommy armour has some good clubs for cheaper then callaways. if you go to a pro shop they will have all the good ones and the bad ones and the middle ones. so just go to a pro shop and usually they will have something you can try them out on. just really look and find something that you are comfortable with. if your comfortable with your clubs then you are in goos shape a lot of people just buy clubs do to there name and then end up not liking them so be picky.

and if you are going to buy a new driver i really look. i am using an orlimar right now and have for a long time and i dont want to get rid of it anytime soon. i get great distance out of it still. my average when i was in high school was 295 yd. there great clubs
