if i remember correctly, the LS1 is actually lighter than the 13B motor that comes in the RX7. so, in essence it wouldnt really ruin the handling if thats what Dubs getting at. im also against swapping a V8 into the FD though, theres something about that rotory sound h:

I believe that the ballance is still very good though. From what I've heard the ls1 mounts nicely in the chassis so its still nearly 50/50.

No...it just ruins the essence of the car IMO. High revving boosted rotary > NA V8.

I agree there. Small cars have small engines for a point. It may be faster with a V8 but that would hurt its sporting spirit.
