vein out of nose?

vein out of nose?
i had a bloody nose right now and when i pulled the tissue out of my nose, a 3" long bloody booger was attached to it....my friend says its a vein?
i also got blood over the keyboard

No, it's just mucous. Pulling a vein from your nose would hurt. A lot.
And to stop it bleeding, blow out your nose, then pinch your nose at the bridge and look down.

yeah, it's basically just a giant blood clot, with mucous mixed in... if you were to pull a vein your bleeding would not stop and you would know because you wouldn't be thinking "man i got blood on my keyboard" as ^^ he said, hold the bridge, look down, ice it if you can that will constrict the veins and usually slow the bleeding
