i have the kdw2's right now, and the grip is pretty decent on both wet and dry. i push them pretty hard, but i dunno how long theyll actually last. the tread still looks practically brand new.... but then again, they only have 1k miles on them.

wanted to add, i like my kumho MXs.. you'll need another set for the winter if you get snow.

they are loud though. the wear doesn't seem to be all that bad, but i'm swapping them out during winter. dry grip is nice. wet grip, i've never had a problem.

I have run both and the ES100s >>>>>>>>>>> 712s

I also rec. the ES100s, I run them as a summer tire on the suby and love them...as said above great dry/wet and very stiff sidewalls.

ES100 is a good bet. 712's are garbage.

I autocrossed on 712's for three seasons, I thought they were pretty decent for the price.

For the price, they're okay. Compared to everything else price excluded, they suck.

yeah, but I'm cheap. h: Also a lot of new tires have come out since then. When I first bought them they were pretty high up on the cheap performance tire list.

I've had 711's, 712's and MX's.

MX's > 711's > 712's h:
