what i'm losing with the GS vs LS transmission
 

I have a 91 acura integra LS. everything in the car had been stolen from me and ileft the car in running condition, It hasn't run in 3 years, the back 3 windows leak. seals/and electric motor bad/no batery power to roll them up more... so those are taped off.. works well so far. My Brother put oil in my transmission <"the bottles look the same"> HE SAID. So I spent some cash and got what i could. A GS automatic transmission. I've recently replaced the computer. and PGmFI. Now i need the refill pipe for the fuel tank, and to find out why my battery keeps dieing.

I wonder what i'm losing with the GS vs LS transmission. It seems lighter and shorter in ratio in the first gear. I have yet to drive with the new computer. I had problems getting it to shift from first to 2nd before redline.

This is my first car. I'd like to see how the current setup runs and add on to it. I'm considering sending in a few hundred requests in to PImp my ride, just to get the car running and consistent again.

they are the same transmission

RS/GS/LS/LSspecial are all the same.

so, even the s gears will work?
the LS came with S1 and S2 gears selectable with a button..
it was nice on the highway...
I'm asking if these are also the same with all transmissions.
after installing this trans, the light just blinks, I've replaced the computer and have yet to restart the car so maybe this would fix the shift points also...
