well if you scrolled down... you'd see several reviews for ipod alternatives that may help you in deciding on an mp3 player h:

Creative Zen series is cheap in price and pretty good IMO. I have the Zen Xtra which has a 30 gig drive in it which cost me something like $200 a year ago. You do give up the small size but there is also the Zen Micro Photo available now which is fairly compact and has image display capabilities.

If you just want to use it to transport images then any of the Creative players access the same as a portable hard drive would, I regularly transport a couple gigs of images on my Xtra as well as PDF files and other documents...draws less attention than carrying CDs or a laptop.

LG vx8100, motorola e815, samsung a950 and the LG 9800 all play mp3s. they use either miniSD or transflash. all of them are nice, except i would advise against the motorola. i hate mine.
