Locking my keys inside...possable??
i have non coded replica key in my wallet just in case i do something stupid.
any ways, I have 2002 honda accord lx. no ABS, sunroof, rear disc brakes...so just LX at the lowest.
when the car is on, and the doors is open, it will simply not lock.
even if you push the lock down, it will come back up.
atleast for my car

Putting a key in a magnetic box is great. The Honda key with the electronic chip is even better. I had a non-electronic key made to open the doors and trunk and that is the one outside. Hidden inside is the ignition key.

yeah me too, but i bought the keyless kit from handa, it is an easy DIY.
my wallet has a key holder. I always keep a spare in it. A week after I bought my accord I managed to lock the keys in. For some reason the door wont lock on the inside unless you pull the inside handle then lock it. I got into a habbit of doing this quickly but got distracted as I was looking at something in the back seat.
I always just make sure my doors are unlocked when I let it run. If you're seriously worried about it, you'll check a few times its unlocked before you shut the door.
No offense but thats sad...You didn't realize you left your car running with the keys locked inside for hours? Cripes..
