well, all you who said it was the slave cylinder, you are wrong. sorry if that sounded mean. but my clutch just blew apart. so it was actually the friction plate. notice the smeared rivits in a few of the pics. that is how bad the thing was. but it was only one side. so here are some pics. enjoy the show. lol.

it wasnt the way the clutch was installed, it was a defictive unit. only one side blew apart.

How this problem was not accompanied by a horrible noise of some sort is amazing.

that is what i was thinking. there was no noise that i could hear. and it was making me mad. then i took it apart and the smell was so strong and there was so much dust and peices that were about 2 inches across were just sitting there. i have a plastic sandwich bag with peices in it. and some of the peices are just like, shit, how did this happen and not make a sound? that is odd. but im glad i found out what it is. and i am going to try to return it as a manufacturing defect.

yea, it would have been cheaper and less time consuming. why cant i just get a car that runs right. cracked the manifold on the mustang, blew the clutch on my maxima, clutch blew on my sisters civic, throwout bearing is non existant on bros bmw, vacuum leak in break booster on cresida. so many problems so little time. not all those problems are from me. just the maxima. the others i had nothing to do with. i think. lol.
