Video Card question
okay so i got a new video card,..its nothing badass or anything like that,..its just a GeForce MX 4000,..i know its not a badass card but i should be able to watch vids fine right? wrong,..take a look at the pictures i posted,..the first pic is what happens every few seconds to some videos while im watching,..not all videos,..just some,..then it gets clear again like the second picture,..is there some settings im suppose to mess with or something? is this even a vid card problem? like i said this only happens to some videos not all

It could be the videos....If it doesnt do it during normal windows viewing then..i would put money on the video...u can also make sure u have the latest updates and drivers on the manufacturers website..I cant really tell whats going on in that picture cus its too msall
Maybe it got fuxored when it was downloaded... sometimes that happens to me.
But i either need a new vid card or monitor, cause my shit is getting blurry.
Ash thought it was her vision at first and didnt want to say anything cause she doesnt want glasses... :chuckles:

try opening it in mplayer2 (type mplayer2 into the run command)
there are alot of things WMP does to mess with the video and maybe it is just a setting
goto options>performance
then click into the advaced options.
turn off video smoothing cause it just really does some weird stuff sometimes and make sure your preferred decoder is hardware, mess with the setting till something works.
and klike they said above get the latest drivers

okay, here are couple things you could try since it's causing artifacts. Try what sherwood said above and get the latest driver. If it still doesn't work then try these.
1. Right click on your desktop (wallpaper) and choose properties
2. If there's a tab that say "xxx clock" go there and see how's the clock set to. Click on defaults then apply it. Sometimes, under or overclock causes artifacts.
3. If it still happens, go to the setting tab then click on advance.
4. It'll pop up another gui then go to the tab Monitor: Make sure you choose the right refresh rate ie: 60hz or 75hz
5. Then go to the tab that said "GeForce etc...."
6. click on expand the left side windows, then go to theses options:
a. Display Timing: Choose auto.
b. Performance and quality setting: Let everything set to "application controlled"
c. Color Correction: Digital Vibrance = off. Everything else is set to 50% (aka brightness, contrast, gamma, etc.) Color profile: choose standard mode.
d. Overlay control (probably is the cause): zoom control = video overlay, set to OUT.
e. Refresh rate overrides: set to :Applications control refresh rate
These are the standard setting .
But I suggest that you Download the lastest Driver for it, and update your DirectX to DirectX 9 or later. See how that goes from there. Good'luck Timmay.
