World's Largest Brat Fest!!

Every Memorial Day and Labor Day here in Madison they have the World's Largest Brat Fest. It's a celebration of all things regarding that noblest of sausages, the bratwurst. Oh and either Memorial Day or Labor Day too. On with the pictures, shall we?

It's a lovely sunny day here in Madison. Here's the entry to the Fest. On the electronic sign you can see "Boca's Sold 6,032" in huge lettering. This was the first year they had Boca veggie brats and wanted to really hype em up I guess.

Merchandising merchandising merchandising. This is right by the entry. Get yer Brat Fest t-shirts, shorts, and who knows what else. They even have official Brat Fest mustard.

Weinermobile! Which provides a perfect segue to...

...a bunch of portapotties all in a row. :reechy:

They had porta-sinks too.

I have no idea what's going on here. The kid doesn't look too happy though. The chick next to the lion was shouting for people to come see the lion, which I guess is why she looks so :loco:.

Supposedly they were cooking brats on this huge big rig truck that's also a grill.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45784&stc=1

But then there were these bajillion people cooking on regular grills. Who cares where they cooked em though. Look at all that tasty smoke. :yumyum:

Making my way up to the brat tent.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45789&stc=1

Paydirt! My first brat, nice and messy with lotsa mustard and sauerkraut.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45790&stc=1

Brat number two.

Right next to the brat tent they had a bluegrass band. The two crazy people dancing were the ONLY people dancing, aside from this redneck dude with a mullet who was bouncing all over the place in an old USA Dream Team basketball jersey. No, I don't have a pic of him.

Of course, there's lotsa Wisconsin-centric stuff at Brat Fest, because well, it's in Wisconsin.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45792&stc=1

Harley-Davidson. State bike of Wisconsin.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45793&stc=1

Green Bay Packers. State riding lawnmower of Wisconsin?

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45795&stc=1

Wisconsin State Journal. State newspaper of Wisconsin.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/a...id=45794&stc=1

Wisconsin Lottery. State lottery of Wisconsin. (I swear, I was taking a picture of the lottery stand, not the girl. :oh:)

And lastly, as I was walking back to my car, this golf cart whirred by with a bunch of old people on it. I guess it's the state old people parking shuttle service of Wisconsin. Okay I was reaching on that one.
