All I was trying to say is come up with something original whether it was a movie or not! Why ruin something good. I mean could you imagine if they made a "live" action film based of James and The Giant Peach or BFG? It would totally ruin the movie and book.

I'm sorry if I'm bitter but I'm honestly getting tired of hollywood and their crap. I mean good movies do come out, but don't ruin things that were great to begin with!

There are no original ideas in Hollywood...current releases show that already. Look at the new Jet Li movie which is basically a poor rewrite of Ichi the Killer.

There are thousands upon thousands of movies that could be named that all share the same plot or storyline with nothing more than rewritten characters and snappy lines added in. Whether or not you notice them or not is another matter. Sometimes I like a remake better than the original and sometimes you just can't top the original, but Holywood is going to keep spewing out the good with the bad until the moviegoing public gets their collective heads out of their asses and start buying quality over starpower.

Perfect example is to ask why people like Ashton Kutscher and Gwyneth Paltrow still have careers at all...because people buy their crap and think they are good actors and actresses when their talent is less than mediocre at best.

I like seeing some of my favorite stuff come to life. And it always makes me happy when movies are turned to books and everyone goes out and buys the book
