Default excel help

is there a way to get only the rows that have a particular string in them?
like to get all rows that have (T) at the end of the string:
8/13/1998 Norwalk (T)

Go to Data -> Filter -> AutoFilter. Click on the drop down at the top of the column and choose Custom. You can use equals *t) or ends with t). Text works find, but it doesn't seem to work with numbers.

Using a custom filter for only the end of the string should work unless if you are looking for a lot of different endings.

ok what i really need is to get all those rows into another file or sheet and keep the others in the original one
and in the end not have to use a filter
