either is nice. If you're planning on only doing minor bolt ons, don't worry too much. Just choose the car that is the color you like and has the least wear and miles. When I chose mine, it had more miles than some of the 96's-97's I looked at, but was the cleanest. A few had damage or lots of wear.

hmm, I think rick hit the nail in the head.

3.2 > 3.0 in terms of power and more kinks have been fixed with the 3.2 M3s

3.0 > 3.2 because of OBD I

If I were you, I would get a 3.2 with relatively low miles, also save up some money for some maintenance if the previous owner neglected to do so. $$$$$

*edit: the woodtrim in the black M3 is :ghey: and I LOVE Avus Blue
