In michigan they are the exact same but they lump it into an OUIL (operating under the influence of liquor) because now they have a term for gettin pulled over and bein high and such which is DWI but it is (driving while impaired)

what does a DUI look like on your record?
If they are as tough on DUIs in PA as they are here, your "friend" has completely screwed himself. Unless he finds a decent attorney, his insurance will skyrocket and remain inflated for at least 2 years...probably more.

And that on top of the court costs, impound fees and the fine itself..

Talk about idiocy. :a:

DWI- Driving while intoxicated only refers to alcohol ( obviously ) DUI varies state to state but in some cases it is not always a single reference to alcohol but driving under the influence of anything mind altering ( ie-pot etc., etc. ) if a cop catches you driving and stoned there's an open invitation for a DUI. atleast, i believe so. i could be wrong.

Both happened within a year of each other before I even turned 2. One was an uncle in law and the other was a cousin, but thankfully they were both on different sides of my family so neither branch was not affected too hard, and I was too young to be cognisant about it. It's sad, though...
