just re-read Enders Game
Was wondering, if anyone had suggestions for another book to read.... Maybe another book along the lines of Enders Game....or hell anything along the line of Mystery,Sci-Fi, etc...
I dunno, after some Enders Game and its sequels/prequels, I'd think that most sane people would get tired of SciFi AND international politics.
Maybe you should take a look at Harry Pothead next. :chuckles:

I can recommend some good fantasy, but I doubt you'll like what I read
And yes, there's a slew of books in the ender's game series. You're local bookstore should have some of them, and at least one will be in the bargain section.
Well there's hitchikers guide. I know fantasy more, but if you go to the fantasy/sci-fi section it'll say what it is on the top of the spine. As a rule, if it looks older and its still on the shelf, its probably good. Bad books, especially paperbacks, don't stay on the shelf.

Ooh Green Rider by Kristen Britain is great too, not as much a chick thing. First two are out, and the third still doesn't even have a title yet :wtc: try that one if you aren't sure about fantasy (its really starting to gear towards women).
I read a lot of sci-fi, so I'll give some suggestions in that genre:
Isaac Asimov - the "Grand Master of Scifi"
The Foundation Series
A little dated (written in the '50s), but very good nonetheless
Alastair Reynolds - writes good "hard scifi," i.e. based on modern scientific principles. He has a phd. in Astronomy I believe.
Revelation Space (and sequels Redemption Ark and Absolution Gap)
Robert Heinlein - another "Grand Master of Scifi," though I prefer Isaac Asimov. Heinlein work is a little uneven sometimes (as in I've read some books that I really didn't enjoy), but he can do great work when he wants to.
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Starship Troopers, and Stranger in a Strange Land (which I'm reading right now) are very good.
