There is a lens solution you can use (not sure the name) but if you go to your local camera shop they should be able to help you out in getting it clean.
If you use a lens cloth there really shouldn't be much worry about scratching the lens though. They are pretty durable and as long as you aren't dragging your nail across it repeatedly you should be ok giving it some pressure.

I know we sell them, and I do have Olympus optical wipes at home, I was just afraid to put too much pressure on it now after trying to originally clean the lense and all it did was make it worse. Plus, I can't get my fingers in the outer edges of the lense and am afraid to use anything to force the cloth in there.
