Default Bah!!! Hardware Problems!!

Ok here is the deal. My secondary computer is having problems. When it first started happening, it would get to the screen right after the Windows XP black screen, and go to the BSOD with a IRQL Not Less Than or Equal. Wouldn't even boot up in safe mode, it would try to load drivers and then got to a BSOD.

Then I formatted another hdd, put windows on it, and try to boot up. After I would get to the XP black screen, the copmuter would reboot. I put in another video card since the VGA mode is used till after the XP boot screen.

This time it would not reboot, but it would just sit there.

Now here is my question. Do you think it is the AGP slot on the MB, or do you think that since it was a AGP 4x card instead of an 8x card that my video card just went out?? The setup is below.

Gigabyte K8VT800 v. 1.0 MB
AMD 64 Socket 754 3000+
WD 80gb SATA HD
256 MB FX5700 VC
Audigy ZS Sound Card

I know someone can shed some light one this... I am stumped

Have u checked to see if your RAM is good? My comp was giving me terrible problems and I swapped out the ram and that was what was causing the spontaneous reboots and split second blue screens. Just a suggestion! (I could not boot in safe mode either)

ok all you fockers....

finally got my new MB tonight, threw that bish in there, and she is working like a charm. It has a hate relationship with my sound card right now, but they are in therapy at the moment and should be good to go soon.
