Looks like they might have to start regulating shoes like they did golf clubs... What's next? A hoopin shoe that makes you jump higher? haha

George Costanza had these. |
haha I know about the strenght training shoes - you get a mad burn in your calves if you work out in those!
I was thinking more along the lines of something with "hidden" springs. lol |

I know, I was just in an OG mood........ ;) I just don't know about "THE PUMP".......never really made sense to me. I had a pair, no real difference from any other good shoe. :dunno:
The ones Dee Brown wore (I think they were called the Omni Pump or something like that) at least looked ok......the new ones (and the origianl ones) look kind of messed up IMO. |
I can tell you for a fact that is significantly more important how the shoe reacts to inversion and eversion forces at the heel than the amount of impact cushioning the shoe has. At heel strike, the rate at which your heel everts(turns out) has a large impact on the stability of your midfoot. Those shoes do not appear to be very sound, biomechanically, though I have not seen them in person. I guess I could get the Adidas rep to detail me on them. They are just trying to differentiate themselves with the microprocessor shoe, they will sell a lot of them, because runners are as obsessive as anyone you will meet.
