Default slippery steps

Anyone have some cheap and effective solutions for some slippery steps?

Our new appartment is on the 2nd floor and has stairs that are outside and uncovered. The past 2 days with the snow and ice have made those stairs like soapy wet tiles in a bath room.

I looked up some of those adhesive anti-skid things at like Home Depot, but they are $25 for only 10 of them. I have a ton of steps (actually I'd estimate it's somewhere around 25-30) and need something cheaper. This move has made me a broke bloke.

Put some snow tires on your feet and turn the traction control in your brain on. Oh and ensure its not running Windows or IE.

Salt doesn't stop water from being slippery. It was actually less slippery when it was just snow.

even more of a reason they should take appropriate measures to "prevent " a lawsuit.

Just because he is a lawyer doesnt make him above the law ---- ( was watching that movie last night )

The best thing would be rock salt.
