if i'm not mistaken foxx went to julliard for music/acting and then became a comedian after college.

i havent seen the movie, but my sister and mother saw it with my aunt and cousin.
they all said that it was god but just a little long

Absolutely loved the film when I reviewed it for the Echo Times.
And I definitely need to get the DVD. 2004 was Foxx's breakout year.
The Academy needs to take note of his efforts and reward him properly.
I would be truly shocked if he didn't receive recognition for his break out in the last year.

I forgot all about Collateral which was an excellent role but I found the movie itself to be lacking slightly so I doubt he gets acknowledgement for that one. If he isn't nominated for Ray though, I can see a lot of outrage over it.

He's nominated for both. Leading actor for ray, supporting for collateral.

I actually wish it had been longer to cover even more of his career accomplishments. They could have included his work with other artists and his interactions with them, how he was accepted by his peers at first and then over time, and so much more that could have been added.
