Instant HELP.. burning dvd's (again)
I made two dvds in the past few days using Tmpg xpress+author.
One standard DVD and one of Tmpgenc Xpress 3.0's xDVD's.
Using the authoring program is simple to a fault, but you have very very limited options for customization (menus at least). If you want a really simple series of menus that you don't want to setup links for and make your own buttons and whatnot, then it'll be great for authoring. Also allows you to set chapters pretty much wherever you want.
If you have a lot of footage (over 305 minutes or so) and you want it all on one DVD, I'd suggest using tmpgenc xpress 3.0 with the xDVD output. It makes decent quality video and allows you to fit a lot more on one disc. I put three star trek movies (not episodes) on one dvd and the quality was really good when I burned it.
