I'm sick of people going to work and doing their job man. I really am.

I"m sure it must suck to hear about people ranting about cops. I try not to, though sometimes i get caught up in the moment. But i do realize that oviously if i'm being stopped it is because i was doing something wrong. But i also realize that i've been stopped several other times for BS reasons such as something hanging in my mirror or front window tint which yes its illegal but a weak ass reason to pull me over. Most of the time i got away with warnings except when the stupid CHP pulled me over on the Bay bridge and gave me a ticket for my front window tint. But oh well you win some you loose some. I also do appreciate the police because oviously we call them whenver something is wrong..but some people dont see that.

The reason they pull you over for that little shit (and let you go) is because stops like that are the only time when we have the chance to be pro-active in preventing crime.

Any other time we're reacting to a crime that's already been commited.

Random stops for stupid shit like that gives us a chance to run your information and possibly get a peek of something in your vehicle that shouldn't be there.

Yes, it's a pain in the ass -- but you said it yourself, you usually get let go on those things. The reason why, is because they never intended on citing you for that infraction in the first place; They just wanted to use it as a reason to check your information, ID, and take a look into your car.

Like I said, it's one of the rare times cops can be pro-active in preventing crime, rather than reacting to it.
