Because the TSX is sportAy™!

But, sticker price on an '05 Accord EX auto w/ Leather is about $2500 less than an '05 TSX auto. One might also be able to wring a bit more of a discount out of a Honda dealer than an Acura dealer.

One of my friends at work bought an '04 4cyl auto Coupe about 6 months ago. As other people mentioned, for a 4 cyl auto, it had a decent amount of pep to it. Obviously, if you can convince her to get the 6 cyl, that would be better, but you could get by with the 4 cyl.

I think so as well. Especially if you are going to be pushing the i4 to accelerate fast, then you will actually get worse gas mileage than the V6.

That actually happens a lot. I know in some domestic trucks the V6's get worse mileage than the V8's.

Well seeing as his gf is the primary driver, I'd say on the balance the 4cyl will probably get better mileage even if he pushes it hard every once in a while.

I think there was a transmission recall on the 03/04 accords so those should be worked out by now. I have the I4 5spd and have no problems with it, I don't think it's underpowered at all, I'm not sure how the auto is in the I4 though.
