I usually have spring asthma and exercised induced asthma, but starting in July I had some tightening of my chest too. I waited til our health insurance to kick in before visiting my allergiest, which was October.

He put me on Advair which is a inflammation inhibitor and as soon as I started on that I was fine. Apparently something is irritating my lungs.

I have asthma and yes it does start to act up more when the cold weather changes..Polipinay is right though you may need a new type of inhaler or ask your doctor about Advair. Ive been taking that daily and my asthma is acting up less and less..

Well It seems like i just needed a new inhaler. I finally went to the doc last week and got a new inhaler. I'm takin Qvar (beclomethasone) its some steroid and i take it twice a day. I gotta rinse my mouth out every time i use it. Anyways i've felt good since i started taking it and no more tightning of the chest. Lets hope it is the inhaler and not the warm weather. But today it was a bit cold and i felt good. but yea good times...anyone else take this one?

I've had asthma since i was little and cold weather does affect it. Drastic changes in weather also affect it. My allergies enduce it most of hte time though..so you should go to an allergist and get tested. It'd be good to know what you're allergic to anyway, for other reasons.

The coughing, tight chest, shortness of breath and wheezing...is actually an asthma attack.
