I liked him a lot because he brought mainstream credibility to the Bush cabinet.

That and I think he was a bit more moderate than Bush and kept Bush in check when it came to foreign policy. Plus he's well respected worldwide.

:werd: Out of that whole administration, he was the one I respected the most as both a leader and as a voice of reason. It's a shame to see him go, because I felt like he cared a lot about the state of the US and all the men and women abroad. Unfortunately, I think we'll be missing him a lot in the next 4 years :happysad:

He was far and away the best guy in the cabinet in the last 12 years, too bad.

It's all about the money. They can make more doing talk shows and speaking at college's

Well, it's part that, and he's been talking about resigning for at least the last year.... I think he personally disapproves of many of Bush's policies...

Yeah. He doesn't like the job in these circumstances, (IMO), because he has been put into some bad situations.
