I'm worried! (Fueling experience.)
I was just filling up my gas tank just now, and it was chilly, so I was waiting inside of the car (CR-V) until it finished. When I got back out and it had finished, to my surprise, the thing was overflowing out of the tank!
 I talked to the cash register lady and she said there's nothing she could do, so we had to pay the extra bit too. I mean, it was their equipment that malfunctioned, so shouldn't they compensate in some way? What could have caused it to do that anyway? And should I worry about the gasoline on the paint of the car? Quite a bit did get on to it. |
yes, i would wipe off immediately or spray it down. gas can eat the paint up.
but...not sure about their equipment failing...i always put a certain amount of money in. |
Happened to me too. Which is why I always watch the pump now. But yea, clean that stuff up ASAP.
|
technically you are never supposed to leave the pump unattended, so they would have you on a technicality, as far as gas on the paint..meh I wouldnt worry about it...maybe wipe if off with paper towl
|
Yeah, just sprayed it down on the outside with the hose and I opened up the outside hatch to spray inside of that too.

Nope, you pump it you pay it. My friend just got in an argument with a lady tonight about this.
Also the lady that was mad that it took $40 to fill up her car. When my friend looked at the computer, she had filled up her minivan with racing fuel. The lady felt she didn't have to pay for that. ahhweha |

the gasoline isn't gonna eat your paint. i've spilled gasoline on my car, left it there for weeks and it was fine. i even use gasoline to clean stuff that wont come off my car w/ soap
