Default What is a fear of your's that you know shouldn't be.

My brother passed away from Cancer when he was 27, so because a lot of people mention how we were so much alike.. I basically had a fear that I would probably go through the same thing when I reached his age. This fear has faded a lot, but still lingers in the back of my head. :happysad:

oh wow, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. How long ago did that happen? That is a very natural feeling. A lot of people also have that same type of reaction when a father passes away at an early age. (my psychology education is coming out in this post )

statistically you are on the bad side.

same with me and my brother. 3 of my uncles on my dads side have this genetic defect. it's a weak blood vessel deep in the brain and all 3 had stroke due to an aneurysm before the age of 65 (most strokes occur wayyy past 70).

me and my brother have more than 70% chance that one of us will either have a stroke before 60 and die or become a vegi.

I really only have one serious fear, and it's not like I dwell on it or let it run my life - but I do think about it now and then and it does make me wonder.

Death.

but you know honestly the only thing I worry about is making enough $$$$ so I can have fun before I turn 55.

I figure after that my risk of death goes up dramatically.

I'll be like Christopher Reeves before he passed away. My dad is already like that at age 64.

yea, I used to worry about that stuff. There are heart problems in my family as well. But I don't worry about it as much as I used to. I'm still conscious of it, but not stressing over it every day like before.

It's going to sound really stupid.. and in my head I know.. I shouldn't even think this..
But.. My ex and I split a few months back. She was everything I looked for in a woman in personality and looks.. and just.. similarities between us. Literally EVERYthing I looked for in someone. Soulmate material here, folks. And... I'm afraid that come new relationships.. I may find myself comparing other's to her... and that's not fair to myself or others. I'm afraid she'll be the one that "got away" And it scares me to think that.

I'm much more deeply concerned about getting a stable career and buying a house and starting a family, than I am about my #1 fear which would be Death. I still think about it when I'm about to jump out of a plane or somtehing (Sky Diving). "What am I doing? I'm stupid, I could die."
