Default changing oil

I haven't had time to change my oil. I'm 2000 km over so it's been 7000 since my last change. Is this really bad?

Depends.

I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just change it ASAP. :dunno: I need to do mine tomorrow.

It's not the end of the world, but change it when you get the chance.

My Volkswagen requires a change every 10,000 MILES, I went about 15-20,000 miles before I changed the oil and the thing is fine...

So I wouldn't worry too much, but be sure to get to it...

Thanks Will.

Btw, do you know where I can get 10-20 oil that Honda uses? Honda charges more for the oil than the oil change and I don't want to pay $35 each time for an oil change.

OMG!!!

Your engine is going to seize up if you drive it any longer without changing it!!

Not really

Its not good for engine wear but it isn't goign to kill it, just try not to make a habit of it and get the oil changed soon.

Haha.

My friend's gf drove her new car for about two years and never changed the oil. Not once.

One day the engine just exploded. She said she didn't know she had to change the oil....no joke haha.

10-20? I have always used 5W-30. Change the filter, get a washer for the drain plug, I use copper ones, cuts down on leaks. Fill the filter with oil, coat the rubber seal with oil, and go to work

I've *never* filled the filter with oil. You really do that? I drain, I take the old filter out, coat the new filters gasket with oil, tighten the new filter, put the drain plug back in and torque it properly, refill, done.

I've never once FILLED the filter itself....
