Default They are putting Pete down :(

My uncle's 3/4 wolf Pete broke his leg a few days back and the vet said its best to put him down. Pete is 16 and probably the smartest dog I have known, a lot smarter than a lot of humans I know. Kinda bummed out about it, he really was a nice dog.

Pete was almost human, he liked you or he hated you and never acted as though he wanted attention. My uncle has 2 other dogs (well he had 14 at one time but age took them) and they demand attention, Pete sort of sits there and keeps you company. He was always really easy to handle, but being mostly wolf he was very heavy and carrying him when he got hurt was a problem.

:wtc:
Putting down a loved pet is never easy. I still get emotional talking about the cat we had to put down in 1996. :happysad:

Other 1/4 is German Shephard. They used to have another 3/4 wolf and 1/4 GS named Joe that passed away when he was 17.
