Zoom 56k hell no
 

First picture with my new Fuji Finepix S5000 that John aka Nightshade said was kick ass. This is from my work on the 7th floor and my car is at the far end of the parking lot and there are 3 parking lots from where my car is and the front of the building. I did it in full auto since I was at work and didn't have time to use all the features... it frightens me to think what this camera can do.

How much optical zoom is that?

Thats 10x optical and 2.2x digital zoom. You can't even see my inspection tag and its crystal clear in the picture. :eek4:

I need to get a good zoom lens.

try it w/out the digital zoom. It'll be much better.
