what do you tip grocery baggers? (this one's for real)
seriously. when, or if, they bring groceries to your car and help you put them in your car...
are you supposed to tip? or send them on their way with a 'thank you?' one time my aunt gave $1...i thought that was unusual. |
They aren't supposed to accept tips.
Back when I worked at Safeway yu could get fired for accepting gratuitys |
abso-freaking-lutely nothing.
$0, because my groceries usually consist of a bag with a pound of beef, a couple packs of ramen and a few bottles of tonic.
Not to mention there is no such person at any Richmond area stores. There are a lot of stores in the northern parts of the state that say "Do not tip the grociery boys" or something of that sort. I knew some guys that used to do it (the job,) and they were specifically told to NOT accept tips. |
I worked as a bagger too when I was in high school. I dont remember if we were allowed to accept tips or not, but I usually refused them. Unless the customer was persistant about it, then I accept it.
a thank you.
I never have that many bags anyways.. usually I can do it myself.. I aint Fcukin lazy
hell, id just bag it myself if i had to.
Why would I tip someone who makes good money for what they do? There wage is built into the cost of my food so **** em
yep, when i worked at lucky's, we weren't allowed to take tips.
