Anyone having troubles with teh interweb?
 

Im crawling along wherever I go it seems.... It works fine, then slows down. Repeats this same cycle over and over.

this isn't something that everyone would experience at the same time...
it can be caused by any number of the following:
- Your ISP is being bogged down by lots of users
- The website has lots of visitors viewing it at the same time
- your cable? modem and/or router may be running into some sort of conflict--try turning off all computers, unplugging both (router and modem) for about 20 seconds, plug 'em back in again, turn on comps.
- could also be your computer -- may be lagging due to being on for a long time, or maybe infected with adware or a virus
- maybe some malware (ie: adware/spyware/virus) changed your internet settings and is slowing it down
- if you're on dialup modem, a dialer may have routed your connection to a long-distance number
- or you may just need to shutdown and turn the comp back on again.

When your internet is slow, it doesn't necessarily mean everyone else's is slow, it's possible it'll be slow for others within your same area, and/or ISP.

note: ISP = Internet Service Provider (such as Cox Communications, Adelphia, AOL, NetZero, etc.)

Thanks Al! :p There are certain situations where millions of peoples connections go to shit at the same time. I was just trying to feel out if this was on of them.

I don't think it was, but if all sites were loading slow, it's more likely that it's on your end or your ISP. :)

i wonder if the internet could ever really crash???
