And PS2 has been out longer, and I can count the quality titles on one hand and have fingers left over. And GC's quality titles are so damn good, any one of them alone makes the system worth purchasing.

i think you ended saying a decade ago it was amazing. Cause the newest game that made people want to buy a console was Mario 3.

LOL well they have been making a killing on GBA so they still have some traces of the dynasty....its not the major console but the portablility makes them the best around with travel consoles.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Viewtiful Joe: Each of these games is good enough to warrant a GC purchase

I disagree completely on this point because once I beat each of those titles the replay value of the game is gone.

I played Metroid Prime and although it was a fun game for a while it became repetetive and once beat it was done...no reason to return to it. LOZ didn't catch my attention at all and aside from playing it once or twice I was not as impressed as I had hoped. Viewtiful Joe was an innovation in side scroll games but it left me wanting a more interesting game.

A couple games I will concede to liking a lot on the GC is Luigis Mansion, Pikman and Pikman 2, as well as Super Mario Sunshine, but those titles alone do not warrant even now the reduced purchase price.

I currently have 70 titles on my Xbox and play almost all of them repeatedly because they hold my interest and have a lot of replay value or multiplayer capability as well as online play. For the PS2 we have probably 40 titles or so and again we play them over and over again for the same reasons.

I guess it all just comes down to personal tastes then...because although I have many title for both PS2 and Xbox...I don't really enjoy any of them...I can't even get into them enough to beat them once, let alone come back and play them again...and I still go back and play Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, and Viewtiful Joe...I just can't get enough. I think the best game I've played on Xbox (and the best game I've played in a long time) is Beyond Good and Evil...and that's available on GC too.

i think nightshades main point is nintendo isn't what it used to be which is true. because if you look at it from a sales point of view ps2 is out selling the gamecube. they must be doing something right.

PS2 is outselling both Xbox and GC combined. It's all hype...because everybody thinks the GC is just for kids.

look at the list of games you gave that would warrant the purchase of a game cube, most seem to kids game. except for metroid, which has a fan base from the original nes.
