Default which one do you like best?

you have to pick one h: this was spurred on by the ps2 vs Xbox thread.

personally i love my original nintendo and would take an SNES over a PS2 anyday.

so you can like both, but which one takes the cake?

I love SNES, and NES ect...very classic games, but when I thought about it, if I could only live with one, it has to be the newer ps2/xbox games.

the only reason i want a newer system is to play the james bond games, but they're only fun when you do the one on one. i get really nuts playing that. it's so sadistic :chuckles:

I am quite split... I will give my vote for old school, since I think that they did more with what they had; but I wouldn't give up modern consoles either!

I thought 007 was great until I played Counter Strike for PC. After playing CS for a while, going back to 007 on N64 looked pretty retarded.

I would take a ps2 over old school.

Old school. They relied more on gameplay than on graphics, and that's why they were awesome.
SNES > *

But I love newer Nintendo games as well, and I think they have the potential to become classics...if only people would give them the recognition they deserve.

I don't give a crap about multiplayer stuff, either.

new school since you can get a lot of the great games from the old school on em as well as play the new games

I have most of my favorite SNES and NES games on PS2/GBA (Chrono Trigger, FFIII, IV and V, as well as Metroid: Zero Mission, etc.)

Plus you can get NES/SNES/Genesis/Atari emulators on Xbox or Dreamcast.

I am have a split vote really.

I like the old school systems because they were fun and very playable. I would sit down right now for 6 hours and play Tank on an Atari if I could and never care about the bad graphics or control lag.

I enjoy the new school systems because it is a new way to play the same old games that have been out for years, and multiplayer FPS is my favorite platform for consoles.
