Help with teh mom's car

Ok, well my mom has a Mazda MPV (I think its a 95  ) Well... anyways, It was getting stuck and at first I thought the pedal was getting stuck but even when pulling the pedal up with my foot its still accelerating (this shit is scary when its auto. :awais: ) Well I narrowed it down to the throttle cable. I checked it and evertime I give teh car gas the cable gets stuck and I have to pull it out with some pliars. Wha would cause the throttle cbale to get stuck??? At first I thought it was something to do with the cover of the cable getting stuck on the entrance to the metal part thingy of the wire, but it wasnt :( (I striped it just to make sure).

Any help is appreciated. :goodjob:

Just grease the wire, have the pedal at it's relaxed stage. Put grease all along the wire that you can see, then have someone press the pedal to WOT, and in the engine bay, grease up the wire from the firewall and back about 5". It might be the pulley on the throttle body too so some wd-40 on that won't hurt.

Edit: You might have to pull back a boot on the firewall side, cause most cars have it on there to protect gunk from getting in, but it's like a plug and should pop right off.
